About Us
Since 2014, Centre 42 has been supporting the local theatre scene. We believe in connecting makers, enablers, and audiences; advancing knowledge and understanding of the local theatre scene and its history; and giving independent artists access to spaces where they can create new works and resources to document their theatre-making processes.
To date, Centre 42 has journeyed alongside 170+ artists and theatre collectives, supported 200+ new theatrical projects to the finish line, and welcomed 40,000+ audience members to theatre.
Centre 42 is honoured to have received the Charity Transparency Award 2022 presented by the Charity Council on 9 November 2022. We received the award in recognition of our efforts in maintaining standards in governance and transparency. Find out more about the award here.

Centre 42 is seeking the support of donors to continue our work in celebrating the legacy of Singapore theatre and making all stories possible. As a Champion of C42, your donation will allow us to:
- Continue documenting the theatre scene and maintaining our Archive to ensure the preservation of local theatre history.
- Nurture the next generation of theatre-makers by developing their skills and providing them with resources.
- Champion local storytelling and help playwrights in their journey to create new works for the Singapore stage.
