DRAMATURGS & is a new capsule series of roundtable conversations centering the work of and relationship between dramaturgs and their artistic collaborators. Dramaturgical thinking and application is integral in the work of all artists, yet a dramaturg’s role affords a dedicated lens that can expand and challenge artistic decisions. In cosy and candid sessions, we aim to unpack the relational, intricate and often invisible work of dramaturgs in creative processes and within artistic teams.Â

As part of Singapore Art Week 2024, the Singapore Art Museum and Centre 42 are commissioning and producing a collection of original audio plays written in response to the geographical area of Tanjong Pagar/Pasir Panjang where the museum currently resides.Â

In support of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (29 November), Centre 42 and the T42 Podcast (Singapore) have heeded the call of Ashtar Theatre (Palestine) to present The Gaza Monologues, a project that Ashtar Theatre started in 2010. These monologues were written and performed by Gazan teenagers under the company’s mentorship to give voice to their horror, hope, and resilience in the face of the Israeli bombardment of Gaza in the years 2008 and 2009.Â
