Synopsis

Inspired by history, and want to breathe new life into old stories onstage? Join playwright Jean Tay for this two-part workshop, where you can learn various strategies on how to translate an idea, inspired by historical events, from the page to the stage. Through hands-on exercises, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of dramatic writing, and learn how to create compelling characters and dramatic scenarios. Participants are encouraged to bring in a story idea that they are inspired by and interested to explore.
